Jimmy trained and served in medicine for nearly 20 years, as a fellowship-trained physical medicine doctor. He then transitioned to become a board certified naturopathic doctor, certified holistic health practitioner, and master certified professional coach. He enjoys employing his experience and expertise as a health and wellness coach, life and executive coach, corporate consultant, speaker, author, and minister.
He began his personal wellness journey in 2016 after his dear cousin lost her battle with breast cancer. She was only 34 years of age without any known risk factors. He then realized the shortcomings of conventional medicine, and had the revelation that the cause of severe illness is more environmental than hereditary. While she was always hopeful that he could help her, he felt helpless as a physician that he was unable to do anything to save her life.
From there, he decided to prioritize his own health and wellness, which was exceedingly difficult being a doctor and business owner. Despite adopting lifestyle changes, he struggled with his weight and fatigue due to the stresses of helping his patients and managing his practice. He was also burdened by the disheartening reality that capitalism in healthcare was compromising patient care. It wasn't until he walked away from the stress of clinical medicine, did he realize how much burnout he had been suffering with.
These lessons became opportunities to prioritize what mattered most, faith and family. Being called according to God's purpose, his vision focused on naturopathic medicine. He believes that medicine is a ministry: your body is your temple and your wellness is your worship.
He is passionate about helping fellow physicians and professionals resolve their stress and weight problems to improve their health and wellness. To discover how you can work with him as a client for coaching or consulting, click below.

Jesus is the Great Physician. He began his ministry by healing the sick. The meaning of 'medicine' in Latin is to heal, but little healing goes on these days. Too often, prevention is ignored and illness is promoted. True healing can only occur by His standards, not ours. (Matthew 4:23)
God was very intentional when He designed our bodies, like when He designed Solomon's temple. Every detail was perfectly accounted for so He could dwell with His people there in harmony, like He dwells within us now. (1 Corinthians 6:19-20)
The temple is a place of sacrifice and worship. Taking good care of our temples matters because it is a form of sacrifice and worship to God. Our bodies are a gift, we should desire to care for them accordingly. (Romans 12:1)
